ITINERARY:

-DAY 1: Starting from the time warp of Corfe Castle, your 11 mile walk will give you wonderful views of the castle before quickly encountering your first ridge. A steep descent to a forgotten village awaits you, before some lovely coastal walking along Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. Your stop for the night is in a rather special B&B.

-DAY 2: A new day of 13 miles takes you over Swyre head, one of the finest viewpoints on the south coast, and a return to the coast allows you to visit the deserted Chapman’s Pool. A fascinating lunch stop is on offer, before an afternoon of coastal scenery and quarrying history. Another castle is passed before the chance to ride on a steam train to your base for the night.

-DAY 3: Another 11 miles today with more time to explore the coast. ‘Old Harry’s Rocks’ are passed before the beach at Studland and a pub for lunch. Your final stretch to return to Corfe is along a ridge with some fine views.
